My interest in Graphic Design began in high school, when I was first introduced to Photoshop through an Introduction to Graphic Design course my school offered. The course didn't cover actual skills so much as Graphic Design history and theory, I thoroughly enjoyed the course and soaked up everything it could offer me.
From there I studied Computer Science at Dalhousie University in Halifax for two years. I left before completeing the degree because I continued to pine for art. I would endlessly doodle, and put thoughts into drawings; so after two years I decided I should probably put this passion to use.
I enrolled to CompuCollege at Moncton, New Brunswick, in their Graphic Design and Multimedia course. I learned everything from basic website programming (which came easily after computer programming) to the technical skills needed to master the Adobe Suite. I graduated at the top of my class, and completed an on the job training segment with a web design studio in the greater Moncton area.
After my co-op training, I moved to Woodstock for a full time job and have been working full time in the field ever since.
